FINALLY!!

So two weeks later I decide to update...I am sorry it took sooo long. It is good to be able to update.

CAMP 2006 was GREAT!! I had a great time! I will probably put some pictures up soon. It was good! This year's theme was "I am my Brother's Keeper". And that we are. We had some new staff this year that really added to the program. THANKS!! Our off campus trip was "Rediscovering Chicago" it was real nice. We went to Lincoln Park Zoo, Millennium Park, a boat ride on Lake Michigan and saw fireworks on the lake! It was beautiful! We still weren't able to implement everything into the program like we planned but it turned out...God truly showed himself strong. Thank HIM!!

So the past couple of weeks have been well. I am looking forward to the long holiday weekend. My job has been somewhat boring...as it usually is at the end of the month. (Some might dispute that and say my job is ALWAYS boring...:D...but it is not)

Ok enough said...

30 years!!

I would like to congratulate my parents for reaching 30 years of marriage. August 7th was their anniversary. Congrats Mom & Dad! Love yah both.

They meet in college. My dad was saved and winning souls on campus. He was witnessing in the dorms one day and came to meet a woman wearing a cat costume...she was on her way to a costume party. He witnessed to her and let her be. Later, they saw each other again and my mom remembered his testimony. To make a long story short, she got saved, he asked her to marry him...and two children and thirty years later..here they are!!

Dropping a Line

so I really shouldn't be blogging right now...I have so much camp stuff to prepare for. The teens VBS closing went...alright. We had a good time though. Camp is swiftly approaching...somewhat too swiftly...!!! But I am getting more excited as time goes by!! We are going to have a GREAT camp season... I am convinced! Well, Pastor Lloyd was in town yesterday and preached the morning service...really good message. Do you have it settled? For real settled! Gotta go!

Elementary

Yeah, I know the last post sounded like I was in second grade. Short sentences, small words, etc., etc. I do better with numbers...Hence my current career...:). I am currently trying to develop the communication side of me.

yah' know these past couple days have been good! I've been dying daily, thank the Lord! I can just feel various different spirits coming against me. But thank God I serve a God that came to give me life and that more abundantly. You know how the scripture says that the devil comes not but to steal, kill and to destroy. Thinking about it, that means Jesus came to give, live and build up! So with Him living in us we give, live and are built up, making this life LIVED ABUNDANTLY! That is such a blessing! Is ANYTHING to hard for God!?!

I have been listening to that song for the past couple of weeks consistently (Is anything to hard for God, whose got a problem beyond His power to solve, are there situations, is he not the master of...), well I finally read the scripture in the word stating that very thing. It is in Jeremiah 32:27 - Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Signing off...

VBS Pictures

so we just finished VBS. We still have the closing on Sunday and trip on Friday (hopefully). Our class and teen boys are getting together to do a skit "Avoiding the Evil Day". I think they'll do GREAT! (I hope!) We did scrapbooks as our craft...I think the girls really liked it. I am trying to make one of my sister and I.

Well...signing off...
